These figures take into account
the changes of perimeter of
the group and integrate the
sales of Oxone Technologies
as from September 1, 2003 and
the sales of Mediaplazza as
from April 1, 2004, while Métaphora
was sold in June 2004.
The evolution of Jet Multimedia
activity during 2004 is analyzed
as follows :
Advertising & Communication
+27%
The "advertising & communication"
activity carried out E 19.9
million sales.
Value added hosting +19%
The "online services hosting"
activity sees its sales increasing
by 19% to E 124.3 million with
:
• a decrease of the Minitel
business to E 7.9 million,
in a still declining market.
• an evolution of the products-mix
of the "interactive telephony
services" business, whose
sales reached E 60,1 million.
This orientation privileges
the services generating a
better margin rather than
the services with strong traffic
but with low value added,
on a very competing French
market.
• an explosion of the mobile
SMS/WAP/I-Mode services business,
whose sales achieved E 11.2
million.
• a strong growth of the Internet
E-business hosting and electronic
payment services whose sales
reached E 37.9 million
International
development
With the acquisition of
Mediaplazza in 2004 and Mediafusion
at the beginning of 2005, Jet
Multimedia becomes the European
leader of the interactive online
services : established in France,
Spain, Italy, Canada and Morocco,
Jet Multimedia markets mobile
content (ringtones, logos, videos,
Java games) in more than 45
countries worldwide. Jet Multimedia
is also partner of the biggest
French, Spanish and Italian
TVs and radios for their interactive
services.
On the basis of the new perimeter,
the group represents in 2004
approximately E 200 million
consolidated sales. The strategy
of the group aims to accelerate
its growth through international
development and a stronger positioning
on the BtoC and mobile services.
Jet Multimedia, which has a
strong treasury after the acquisition
of Mediafusion, has the means
of financing its organic growth
and making new acquisitions.
